CASE STUDY: Contemporary garden

The client required a complete garden makeover to  complement a newly renovated property in the upmarket area of Totteridge.

The large detached house was being renovated to suit the needs of a young, professional and growing family, and the attached 400+ square meter garden needed to be attractive, contemporary

The job included the design and construction of a front garden and rear garden, the erection of fencing, construction of a screen, the laying of a lawn, the installation of an irrigation system, and the selection and installation of mature architectural plants. Land in the rear garden required re-leveling and the construction of raised beds, tiled path and a decked area.

Skills & Materials:

  • Turfing, Fencing, Irrigation, Planting, Decking, Leveling and Tiling.
  • Cedar, Oak and Balau wood.
  • Italian porcelain tiles.
  • Block and render.
  • Plants: Taxus, Buxus, Standard Photinia and more.
“I first used Wild Roots to landscape my own house in Totteridge and wanted to work with someone with good, contemporary garden design ideas that would blend in with the style of our house. Good collaboration and implementation followed and i ended up using Wild Roots much more than planned including cedar fencing works, planters etc. Darren and team were quick and efficient in getting the job done and had to deal with pretty severe weather conditions during the time they were on the project. Since then, i have used them for another development project where they landscaped the rear garden and front planting areas. Once again, the job was done to time and with great results. Would certainly use them again.”
